Adjusting to life abroad comes with its [ahem] quirks, and one of the more surprising challenges is buying bed linens. When I got my first apartment here, I went shopping for sheets and pillow cases and a duvet. I was very use to buying standard size sheets in the US: King, Queen, Double, Single. Sometimes you saw linens for a California King.
