"After having three children, Marie Kondo has stated she has "kind of given up" on maintaining a perfectly tidy home, shifting her focus from rigorous organization to enjoying time with her family. She no longer insists on strict, daily folding routines, accepting that a lived-in, sometimes messy home is part of life. "
We’ve lived in Portugal 2 years and have a date with cleaning out our storage bin in Florida in April. it’s become more of an issue because the rental on the storage area just went up by $30 a month. By the way, I enjoyed your reference to the Pareto rule. I’m a statistician and it’s a very useful concept that I’ve taught in courses over the years.
I need to get back to Florida and empty out the unit. Might have to extend my trip in October to scoot down. Don't really want to make two trips into the States right now, if you know what I mean. ;-)
Perfect timing. We fly over in 9 days and I'm in the midst of getting everything into 6 checked bags (3 each) and I'm sure once we unpack (we also sent a small pallet with art and personal things) half of it will go in the giveaway pile.
Those blue duffle bags hold a lot! It's more the weight than the size. But yes, if you start to feel bad about not bringing something, ask yourself how often you've used it in the past year or two. Congrats on making the jump!! :-)

LMAO!! Ah, reality hits aesthetics! Yeah... kids will turn your life upside down. Good thing they're cute!
